The type of glass you use to drink wine can make a real difference; large wine glasses can really make a cheap bottle of wine taste like an expensive bottle. There is no point trying other ways to enhance the flavour of your wine before you get the right glass as this is key to improving the taste.

When selecting a glass that you want to enhance flavour look for a glass which is large and round with a very wide rim. This helps add a psychological factor when people taste the wine making them think it is something special and adds the extra wow factor. This style of glass also allows more of the flavour and aroma to be released due to the wide rim as well as allowing the flavours to burst into your mouth as soon as you drink it.

The tips I would advice to get the most out of your wine is to make sure you decant it, warm the wine glass you use and eat salty snacks before you drink.

Doing such a simple thing as using decanters can make a serious difference to the taste. You should decant a bottle of wine for few hours before serving and definitely do not refrigerate, the wine should be room temperature.

A warm glass may not sound much but does make a real difference. Remember to always have your wine glasses at room temperature. If your glassware is cold you can warm it up by running it under a warm tap for a minute.

You may not think it but salty snacks can make a difference to the flavour of your wine. Surprising salty snacks are great to prepare your taste buds for wine, so if you’re not serving wine before the meal salty snacks should be used.

You should try and incorporate these tips whenever you serve wine and they are not high resource ideas so can done easily.

Outdoor catering is now much easier than in days gone by thanks to the large amount of competition within the industry. The more information at your fingertips, the better your chances of finding the perfect company that is suitable – a cater that will your outdoor event one to savour. This article will give you the three points to help you make an informed decision regarding the selection of outdoor event catering companies.

Number 1, the catering business is about providing food and drink to the customer at their choice of location. Catering as a business is rapidly growing within a lucrative market. Many caterers are distancing themselves from only serving food and drink, adding event planning, outdoor event planning and other food services into their list of items.

Secondly, private catering companies still focus on providing food and drinks to any location, although it is wise to choose someone who knows the location. Take my case for example, I live in Brighton – so it would be ideal to choose a Brighton catering firm. They can now provide you a full service that can satisfy all your wishes and desires. Alot of these companies can provide decorations, the music, furniture, and all round entertainment as well as the food and drinks. Even if you need an event location, the caterer can supply one for you. Outdoor event catering involves creating an entire atmosphere for the party. Catering companies are expected to be able to provide and fill in all the details of the party while meeting a budget and never making a mistake.

Third, the guest numbers and the menu complexity are generally the factors that determine the eventual cost of the outdoor event. Any customer requiring extra services provided by the caterer, are usually charged on a per-item costing. Service charges and gratuity for wait staff are also charged for large events. However you should be having a conversation with your accountant when it comes to the topic of disbursement of cost.

If you wish to know more about outside caterers that can offer their assistance please contact Redanywhere on 0845 223 4472.

There are so many logos out there that are related to food and they range from the top chains right the way down to the bottom ones that barely anyone has heard of.

Chips Ahoy

The reason I started with this one is simply down to the fact that I did not want to stick to the ones people tend to think of when thinking of food logos. Chips Ahoy is a brand of chocolate cookies made by Nabisco and they are very widely sold in the USA. In fact whenever I am over in the US a supermarket is my fist port of call so I can get my hands on the fudge flavoured ones. There seem to be many, many different types of the cookie out there but my favorites are the fudge, original and of course the chunky.

Heinz

Now this also has to be on the list of the best food logos simply because Heinz have been going for such a long period of time, their logo is a fantastic one. One of the reason this logo must be good is because has not changed in a long period of time. Despite now selling over 6,000 products the slogan 57 varieties still remains as it was John Heinz’s and his wife’s lucky numbers.

McDonalds

It had to be in here somewhere really didn’t it and although the big M isn’t the best logo design in the world it has work tremendously for the company and will continue to do so for a foreseeable future. They have also been around for many years and although their logo has perhaps not helped them as much as the other two on the list it has certainly has to be one of the more recognised company logos of the world.
